Can hyperopia be treated with lasik surgery?
Hyperopia is also known as hypermetropia or farsightedness. This surgery will take a bit longer to recover than from some of the other surgeries. Your doctor may want to do one eye, then wait and do the other eye a few days later or up to a week. There are three different degrees of hyperopia as follows:
- Simple hyperopis
- Pathological hyperopis
- Functional hyperopis
Speak with your doctor and see to what degree yours is and how he will treat it. There is a different laser for each treatment so discuss which one you have. Because of different factors you may not be eligible for laser and need to be fitted with contacts or glasses. |
