Eye surgery - LASIK method

Lasik eye surgery is becoming more and more popular in the last several years. Then so is the price. This brings the price up for the procedures. This just makes it more popular because the advances are more up to date with less and less complications. The LASIK method is the most popular with others taking a fast second. Here is what the lasik method consists of:

• Step 1: eye drops numb your eyes
• Step 2: a suction ring is attaches to the eye so it doesn’t move
• Step 3: the flap of the cornea is cut with a microkeratome, the flap is lifted, and the laser removes tissue from inside the cornea. You will be able to see the beam from the laser but no pain.
• Step 4: the flap is lifted to the side of your eye
• Step 5: the ‘flying spot’ laser shapes the cornea
• Step 6: the flap is closed over the eye, after a few minutes the suction device will be removed, and you may feel a bit of scratching or burning.
