Your eyesight problems may be different from friends and you are having the same surgery but they are using totally different lasers. This is because certain lasers are only good for one type of eye problem and cannot be used for another. Here are a few of the FDA approved lasers for you to ask your doctor if he is going to be using them on you.

• Autonomous technology: for myopia less than -9.0D with or without astigmatism
• Bausch & Lomb Surgical: myopia from 1.0-7.0D with or without astigmatism
• CRS/VISX: Myopia less then -14.0D with or without astigmatism
• Summit Autonomous: Hyperopia less then 6.0D
