What to expect during LASIK surgery

Lasik eye surgery in an outpatient procedure that usually only needs an anesthetic in the form of an eye drop that will numb the surface of the eye. The length of the surgery is around 10 to 15 minutes per eye

What to expect during lasik eye surgery:

• A laser is used to cut a flap in the surface of the cornea
• A hinge is created
• The hinge is folded back
• A laser is used to reshape the cornea
• The flap is put back in place
• A plastic shield is placed on the eye for protection
